DEBIT CARD CHANGES CU Debit Cards are going live... In September our debit card program will be upgrading and we'll be going "live." That means your debit card transactions will update immediately. Your debit card purchase will be accepted or declined at the point of purchase. Your available balance will include your checking account balance PLUS any remaining credit on your overdraft protection loan PLUS any courtesy pay the Credit Union has allowed if you signed an Opt-In agreement. The daily limit maximum will now be $2,000, of which $500 can be ATM transactions and $1500 point-of-sale transactions. The places where you can get surcharge-free cash from an ATM will change September 1. Watch the Credit Union website for a link to the list of locations of machines. If you use your debit card to set up recurring automatic payments (i.e. gym membership, house payment), you will need to notify the company and give them your new card number to continue payments after September 1st. For more information on your options if you overdraw because of a debit card transaction, go to Debit Card Changes.
New cards will be issued in August...
In August all debit-card holders will be receiving new cards. They will be burgundy in color. Activate them and then hang on to them, but don't use them until September 1st. Use your current card through August 31, 2010. On Wednesday, September 1, begin using your new card. All debit card holders have been notified by mail and we will keep you up-dated with more mailings. Watch your mail for letters from us with the red "Important information enclosed..." label. If you have further questions, please call one of our offices. |
