CU MANAGERS MEET
WITH COLLIN PETERSON

CU Managers with Collin Peterson
A group of credit union managers from credit unions in the 7th district,  met with Collin Peterson on April 22 to discuss the regulation that NCUA is proposing that unfairly weights the risk in loan portfolios that include ag and business loans.

Congressman Peterson had been briefed prior to our meeting and understood the issue.  He told us that a letter to NCUA from the Congress of the United States had been drafted to NCUA and he had signed on to the letter. The letter expressed the members' of Congress concerns of the economic impact this new regulation would have on credit union members, and asked that the NCUA board:

  1. Take into account  the cost of implementation of the regulation
  2. Provide justification to Congress on the need for the proposed risk ratings that differ significantly from other types of financial institutions
  3. Give credit unions more time than the regulation allows for compliance after a final rule is adopted.

E-STATEMENTS DRAWING

An e-statement is a faster, greener, cheaper and safer way to get your Credit Union statement. It is an electronic statement that you access online and replaces the paper statements of the past. Each month you will receive an e-mail notifying you that your statement is available online through Virtual Branch. Not only will you be saving lots of paper, but you will receive your statements more quickly.

Gift Card To encourage our members to use this service, we are having a promotional drawing. Sign up for e-statements before April 30 and get your name in a drawing for a $100 gift card. Three gift cards will be given away in a random drawing on April 30th!
If you are already signed up for e-statements, your name will automatically be in the drawing and you don't have to do anything.

Signing up for e-Statements
Once you are logged into VB (Virtual Branch), go to the Self Service tab and under the Additional Services section click on e-Statements. Then click on the Enroll for e-Statements link and follow the instructions.

Note: You are required to have Adobe Acrobat Reader® software and a printer or the ability to download the statements for your records. If you don't have Acrobat Reader, you can download it for free at Adobe.com.
