Stimulate Our Local Economy Highway 7 Construction Detours Us Again
As we say in Minnesota, "We have two seasons: winter and road construction." Winter is now over and we're in the "other" season. Our new facility on Highway 7 is on the edge of the road construction being done from our corner all the way to Clara City. It's expected to take all summer. If you're coming from the east, you'll have to detour on a county road and come in the back way. Our west entrance is still available. It's just getting to it from the east that involves the challenge. However, we have faith in the ingenuity of our members and look forward to serving you despite the obstacles. After months of hard work and anticipation, the big day came in January and the Co-op Credit Union moved into it's new facility on East Highway 7. It's a beautiful building. We now have much-needed space. It's a very "green" building that has a geo-thermal heating and cooling system. Much of the interior is made from recycled products. Mailing from CUNA about Auto InsuranceMany of our members recently received a letter from CUNA Mutual telling about their MEMBERS® Auto Insurance Program. Your Co-op Credit Union does not sell insurance. However, because our credit union belongs to CUNA, our members receive special offers from time to time. The mailing is not a scam, but a legitimate offer by Liberty Mutual Insurance.

MEMBERS Auto Insurance. What is CUNA? The Credit Union National Association (CUNA) is a not-for-profit trade group serving America's credit unions. The group is governed by volunteer directors who are elected by their credit union peers. In partnership with state credit union leagues, CUNA provides many services to credit unions, including representation, information, public relations, continuing professional education, and business development. CUNA Mutual Insurance is one of their programs. ATM UPDATES
As of May 1, 2009 the Credit Union ATM at Casey's in downtown Montevideo is no more. Casey's notified us earlier this year that they were going to put in their own ATM. Since we no longer own the machine, you may be charged fees for using it. Use SHAZAM to find No-Fee ATMs Credit Union Visa cards are part of the Privileged Status ATM program (Shazam). Members of participating Privileged Status financial institutions can use the ATMs of other participating Privileged Status financial institutions without paying surcharge fees. Go to www.shazam.net to check for an ATM.

Our members are getting to be very adept at finding the Montevideo office.
Last summer the road construction left our old building very isolated. At
times, you had to be quite creative to get there. 
Montevideo now has an ATM
at our new facility. The last lane of our drive-up in Montevideo
has a drive-up ATM machine. Get cash from your accounts 24/7!
